menu planning monday: AACHHOOO!

bless myself.
[that is what BigGirl says when she sneezes and nobody says "bless you." i giggle every time.]


i'm not feeling 100%.

if you know me, you know that i have to be bed-ridden, flu-ish, feverish, and beyond miserable before i'll claim to be "sick." right now i just have a sore throat, sore ears, stuffy and runny nose, and chest congestion. no biggy.

needless to say, i don't really feel like cooking. or eating. or grocery shopping. or thinking about food. (if it were up to me we would have chicken noodle soup every meal every day this week.) BUT i'm the mom and it's my j-o-b. so here goes...

monday: Crockpot Chili
tuesday: Chicken Noodle Soup and vegetables
wednesday: Baked Ziti with vegetables
thursday: family night, dining out
friday: Meatloaf (I'm going to attempt Crockpot365's recipe)
Crockpot Chili (my recipe)
-1 packet McCormick Chili seasoning (mild)
-1lb ground turkey browned
-2 cans petite diced tomatoes
-2 cups chicken broth
-shredded cheddar, sour cream (optional)

Put it all in the crockpot. Cook on high for 2-3 hours or low 6-8. Serve topped with cheese and sour cream if desired.
