this week's menu + Nutella recipes

Nutella overdose
here's what's cookin' in the Hall home this week, with links to recipes:

m - tomato soup & grilled cheese toast
t - baked crispy chicken (rollover from last week)
w - chicken burrito bowl (Chipotle copycat)
h - cheeseburger pie (a modified version of that recipe)
f - summer tortellini from Real Mom Kitchen

and now it's Nutella time! my friend Christy makes the most rockin' Nutella cupcakes, of which she has never shared her secret recipe, but that's okay because she makes them for me all the time. {i love her!} and my sweet friend Cindy once made heavenly Nutella Twix bars! what?! yes. for real. {i love her too!} for the record, i blame my Nutella addiction on Sarah Mae. Nutella is awesome all on it's own, but wow there are some ultra-delicious must-share Nutella recipes that i've found (and made) recently on Pinterest! here are a few of my favorites so far:

Nutella S'mores

Nutella S'mores
skewers
big puffy marshmallows
Nutella, a few tablespoons in a shallow bowl or coffee mug
crushed graham crackers, on a plate or in a shallow bowl
put a giant marshmallows on a skewer, dip the marshmallow in Nutella, and then dip it in the crushed graham crackers.

Nutella Banana Bread from Oleana

Nutella Banana Bread these were a huge hit this weekend for breakfast, snacks & dessert!
2 c flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 c unsalted butter at room temp
1 c sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/4 c mashed ripe banana (i used 2 bananas)
1/3 c milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 heaping cup Nutella
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 8×4-inch loaf pan with nonstick spray. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda & salt. In a separate large bowl, beat sugar and butter with an electric mixer at medium speed until blended. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add banana, milk and vanilla. Beat until blended. Add flour mixture, beat at low speed just until flour is incorporated (don’t over mix). Spoon Nutella into a small dish and soften in the microwave for about 15 seconds. Add 1 cup of the banana bread batter to the Nutella and stir until blended well. Spoon Nutella batter alternately with plain banana bread batter into the prepared pan. Swirl batters together with a knife. Bake 50 to 60 minutes, it will seem a tiny bit undercooked but that’s what makes it good. Cool for at least 15 minutes in the pan, and then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
